HHPNA Election results: Your votes were counted and the 2015 Board of Directors was announced at the Annual Meeting last month. They are Del Acosta, Ann Altman, Marylou Bailey, Barbara Deakin, Kathy Durdin, Sandy Fasulo, Sandy Host, Michael Lynch, Diane North, Jen Prater and Rob Stern. Officers will be voted in at the December 8 meeting.
Tampa Preservation, Inc. (TPI) Awards—Our neighborhood association has received 2 of them! In 2012, TPI President Becky Clarke announced that HHPNA won TPI's Organizational Excellence Award for the Reconstruction of the Richardson Place gateway column. This year, HHPNA was given the prize for Organizational Achievement for Promotion and Preservation of Hyde Park for the many projects Historic Hyde Park has led or taken part in completing.
HHPNA Welcome Wagon
Neighbor Jen Prater is HHPNA's Welcome Wagon person. If new neighbors move in near you, contact Jen so she can get a welcome packet of neighborhood information to them.
Cafe con Tampa
Cafe con Tampa meets every Friday @ 8:00 a.m. at Hugo’s Restaurant, 931 S. Howard Avenue. People from around town get together to have breakfast and talk with public and private decision makers. Please remember that the meeting agenda is relaxed, non-partisan, and respectful. Hugo's Restaurant requests that you order beverages and/or breakfast at the counter when you arrive. You will been given a number and your order will be delivered to you at your seat.
If you would like to schedule an appropriate guest for a future meeting, please let me know and I will provide you with several available dates. Your assistance in scheduling guests is needed!
